Why was my email undeliverable?
There are a many reasons why your email may have been blocked: mistyped information, recipient no longer has email account, inappropriate material or some file types are blocked for security purposes (.exe, .bat, .chm, etc.). In some instances the email server sending your messages appears to be listed on a spam blacklist (and you many not even know about it). This may make it difficult for your messages to be delivered or received. Viruses can be distributed; it is possible that your machine may have been infected, which can allow your computer to be used to send spam email. If this is the case, your email address or IP may be blacklisted. Our spam blocking system synchronizes with such blacklists and hence will block anyone listed.

Sometimes the cause cannot be determined, but we still want to assist with the routing of your email to and from us. No matter the reason, we want to help.

Using Your MyBackgroundCheck.com Certificate

Your MyBackgroundCheck.com (MBC) Certificate is a safe and trusted way to share your background check information with employers, landlords, educational institutions, volunteer groups and others that may be interested in developing further trust with you.

  • Each MBC Certificate has a unique Certificate ID and Password.
  • Others can view your results only when you have supplied them with the Certificate ID and password.

Create and Share a Certificate

Step 1: Create a new certificate

  • Click the New Certificate button
  • Enter a name for the certificate (for your reference only)
  • Enter a Shared Password or have one created by clicking Generate Shared Password
  • Choose the search items to include with this certificate by clicking the check boxes next to each search type item
  • Click Save

Step 2: Provide your certificate to viewers using one of the following methods

  • PRINT: From My Certificate section choose View for the certificate you wish to share and then Print the page using your browser print function
  • EMAIL: From My Certificate section choose Email for the certificate you wish to share and then enter the email address for the recipient along with any additional comments. Click Send Invitation when done
  • For either option, recipients of your Certificate will view your background check information securely on MyBackgroundCheck.com. Once they create a free viewing account, they enter the Certificate ID and password and can instantly see your background check information.

Managing Certificates

You can create as many certificates as you wish. We recommend you create unique certificates for each use to allow you to manage viewing privileges for each viewer. For example, you can create an Employment certificate and include all your searches to provide with any application for employment you complete. You can also create a Personal certificate that might include only your criminal and sex offender searches to aid in establishing trusting personal relationships. The options are endless, and in your control!

  • Delete a certificate by clicking the Delete icon for the certificate you no longer wish to use
  • Change the status by clicking the Status button
  • A certificate is either Active or Inactive
  • Only Active certificates can be viewed
  • Change the certificate name, password, or search items included by clicking on the certificate Name and making changes on the Add/Edit Certificate page

Managing Viewers

You will see all viewing activity for your certificate(s) in the Certificate Reviewers section.

  • The name of the viewer will be listed along with the Certificate ID they viewed
  • To see the history including date and time of viewing and any notes the viewer made, click View! next to the reviewer name
  • To remove access by a particular viewer, click on the Block checkbox for the associated viewer

Completing Your Credit Report

You will be re-directed to the EQUIFAX web-site in order to finish your CREDIT REPORT. You may wish to print the following instructions.

TO COMPLETE YOUR CREDIT REPORT: You will need to do the following:

  1. Follow the instructions on the Equifax web-site to create an Equifax account.
  2. After creating the account, click on the green "Go to Member Center" button.
  3. Click on the most recent purchase "SCORE Power".
  4. Select "Print Credit Report" and print results.
  5. Submit printed Credit Report results with your MBC Certificate to anyone who needs to review the background check information.

Using Your Credit Report

Equifax allows you to view and print out your credit report as often as you want for a period of 30 days. Visit their site at www.MyEquifax.equifax.com

You will need to remember the username and password you created on their site to view.

There is password help at the link above if you have forgotten it.

To share your credit report, print the results from your Equifax account and provide them to anyone who needs to view them (landlords, potential employers etc.).
